Short Bio
Dr. Nicanor Guinto is Associate Professor and Director of the Office of Research Services at Southern Luzon State University. He teaches Communication, Applied Linguistics, and General Education courses on language and literature at SLSU. He holds a PhD in Sociolinguistics and Discourse Analysis/ Language, Discourse and Communication jointly offered by the University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR, China) and King's College London (London, United Kingdom). His research interests include language communication in society, critical discourse analysis, and critical pedagogy.
