As part of its commitment to provide quality education to its students, Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) subjected two programs under the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and nine other from other colleges and campuses to the strict scrutiny of accreditors from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and University of the Philippines (AACCUP), July 14-17.

The Bachelor of Public Administration underwent Level III Phase I survey while the MA in Applied Linguistics underwent Level II survey.

Responses from the accreditors were generally positive, noting that documents and evidences presented to them generally gave them the impression of SLSU's commitment to quality service to its clients.

Dr. Thelma Lanuza, the over all coordinator of the accreditation visit who served as accreditor of various programs of the University since 2007, cited the significant improvements she saw in SLSU from the first time she came to the University for accreditation, and commended its past and present administration for their commitment to deliver quality education to its students.

Dr. Lanuza continued that whenever AACCUP requests her to accredit programs in SLSU, she never had second thoughts because of the warm welcome and hospitality she always receives from the SLSU community.

The exit conference, where accreditors announced the team's recommendations and the administration's response, held last July 17, marked the end of the accreditation.
