DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM

The Master of Arts in Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology (MA Psych) is a graduate program that provides advanced professional training for those who are involved in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of personality disorders and psychological problems through scientific approaches. The curriculum is also designed to cater to the needs of those whose advocacies are in line with the preservation of mental health and prevention of psychological illness through the promotion of critical thinking and effective problem-solving strategies among people. Nonetheless, the offering of the curriculum is a proactive response to the current professionalization of the field and that it could help in producing more clinical psychologists who shall serve the people in different walks of life.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

1.To produce proficient clinical psychologists who shall cater to the prevailing need for psychological services in CALABARZON and other nearby areas;

2. To train professionals in teaching and research in psychology and in the practice of the profession;

3. To ensure a reliable stream of highly competent, efficient and effective clinical psychologists responsive to the development in the region.
